Celebrated my 1st Mother's day yesterday..hee..not really much of a celebration though...act had planned some activities (duno why i do the planning hor...!!!!!) and to meet up with Jan and mic for lunch and svs...but.......Little T kept crying the weekend i brought back to my JT hse.duno whether its he's not used to the new environment or that there was heavy rain during the 2 nites that he was there.
Kept bragging to B that Little T can sleep thru the nite le...but during the weekends, he woke up crying at 4am! and once he wakes up for milk, he will be punctual for his next feeding time 4 hrs later..so can u imagine the amount of sleep we get? Mind u...its not just make milk and feed him..after that you have to burp him, change his diaper and soothe him to sleep...in our half asleep state of mind..So, the plans were cancelled( Sorry Jan and Mic! Really wanted to catch up with u gals!) and we ended up gg for 7pm svs instead..but its all worth it. After seeing him smile and playing with him b4 dropping him off at my mum's, the frusration of lack of sleep just slipped away frm my mind..
Anyway, being a mother really changed my whole life..
It made me appreciate my mum better..She had to go thru...( Thaddaeus Chan Yu Hung-Pay attention to the list below.Mummy went thru the same thing too. Most impt ones are the ones with asterix behind)
-The pains of pregnancy and labour (though she kept saying hers was easy thruout...sad to say, mine was not! )*****
-Change of figure..She was very slim b4 she gave birth to both me and my bro, but after me, i guess its hard to shed off the extra weight. Im still struggling w mine. Smth, it can be quite depressing..haiz...*****
-Sleepless nites**
-Constant worry***
-Sarcrificial of her time~now our schedules have to revolve round Little T***
Nv have i tot that i will find joy in the below things:
- Seeing someone shit
- Hearing someone Burp
- Extracting a booger out of someone's nose. I heard some even use their own mouth to suck it out! You can never fanthom a Mother's love!
PS:The use of the phrase "Today is Mother's day. Wo zui da(Im the biggest)" was really gd to use yest. It shall be my trump card every year. Ha...
PPS: Little T slept at 1.30am and woke up at 9.30am this morn at SK hse. I had full 8hours of sleep! *Yippee* but i went on to sleep til 1pm. too damm tired!
PPPS: Man Utd is inches away in lifting up the BPL cup AGAIN after beating a lack lustre Man City in a derby match yest...
