B turned 3X last friday...booked a nite stay at hotel Re! to celebrate. Its a quaint boutique hotel nested at Pearl's Hill. Different levels have different colour themes, which was kinda cool..We were initially given the 3rd level (Pink) but we found it too low and requested for a higher floor. They gave us a one time free upgrade, to the 8th floor(orange, which is B's fav color). The room was done up quite nicely, but the hotel was v small, there is only 1 restaurant, 1 pub,1 massage centre..thats it..not much ammenities.
After checking in, we settled down, explored the place then head out for our shopping spree. Went to the new shopping centre-Illuma at Victoria Street. Most of its shops and restaurants cant be found elsewhere, hence, it was rather unique. Too bad we had our dinner earlier on at Bugis Junction, orelse will try the Jap restaurant there. They have an area called the Japanese Food Amusement, which houses abt 7 diff Jap restaurants.Aniwae, shopping there is quite refreshing as compared to the others where the shops are more or less the same.
We headed to Marina@ Keppel Bay next. Our 1st time there and the view was great! We went to TCC (cos the rest were too pricey!). Though the area was so deep in ( u need a car to go there..its quite far to walk), the place was full and we even have to be placed on the waiting list! Hope B enjoyed himself that day as he always like to explore new places...=)
The next day, we went for our $50 Javanese massage which was only so-so.haiz..quite disappointing..but i guess yi fen qian yi fen huo.=p All in all, i tink the hotel was only ok..there were few instances where there was communication breakdown between the staff and us, which i feel, can be managed in a better way. But it was a gd experience, considering that its not safe to leave the country at this point of time.
~Finally 'reunited' with Little T. For the 1st time, i did not see him for one whole day yest. Missed him so much that i kept seeing his photos in my camera!ha~
~Duno why, i feel so frustrated when i saw some stuff when i rched home. Dun wana comment much.haiz..~
