B turned 3X last friday...booked a nite stay at hotel Re! to celebrate. Its a quaint boutique hotel nested at Pearl's Hill. Different levels have different colour themes, which was kinda cool..We were initially given the 3rd level (Pink) but we found it too low and requested for a higher floor. They gave us a one time free upgrade, to the 8th floor(orange, which is B's fav color). The room was done up quite nicely, but the hotel was v small, there is only 1 restaurant, 1 pub,1 massage centre..thats it..not much ammenities.
After checking in, we settled down, explored the place then head out for our shopping spree. Went to the new shopping centre-Illuma at Victoria Street. Most of its shops and restaurants cant be found elsewhere, hence, it was rather unique. Too bad we had our dinner earlier on at Bugis Junction, orelse will try the Jap restaurant there. They have an area called the Japanese Food Amusement, which houses abt 7 diff Jap restaurants.Aniwae, shopping there is quite refreshing as compared to the others where the shops are more or less the same.
We headed to Marina@ Keppel Bay next. Our 1st time there and the view was great! We went to TCC (cos the rest were too pricey!). Though the area was so deep in ( u need a car to go there..its quite far to walk), the place was full and we even have to be placed on the waiting list! Hope B enjoyed himself that day as he always like to explore new places...=)
The next day, we went for our $50 Javanese massage which was only so-so.haiz..quite disappointing..but i guess yi fen qian yi fen huo.=p All in all, i tink the hotel was only ok..there were few instances where there was communication breakdown between the staff and us, which i feel, can be managed in a better way. But it was a gd experience, considering that its not safe to leave the country at this point of time.
~Finally 'reunited' with Little T. For the 1st time, i did not see him for one whole day yest. Missed him so much that i kept seeing his photos in my camera!ha~
~Duno why, i feel so frustrated when i saw some stuff when i rched home. Dun wana comment much.haiz..~

Anguish...
Seeing the replay a few weeks back of the match between Barca and Chelsea, Was actually quite confident that MAn Utd will yet again win the Champ League this year, cos i felt that Barca wasnt playing THAT well...but i was wrong...
Man Utd was playing so well at the start, almost scoring in the 1st min but it sucumbed to pressure just after 9mins, when Eto scored the winning goal. After that their passing were off, their shots were wide and they cant seem to get it together le. HAIZ...
But congrats to Barca, for a splendid performance and to Messi, for finally scoring against a English Club..Will cheer on Man Utd in the next season of Champ League, but will have to find a way to watch the matches since starhub lost the rights to broadcast to Singtel.ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....this is the most irritating part!!!
PS: Little T was sleeping vertical last night, but when i woke up this morn, he was sleeping horizontal...i duno how he managed to do it! I kept asking him to show me again, but all i got was a nonchalent expression and an innocent cooing..SHOWOFF!

Im gg back to wrk in 2 weeks time!
Sigh...my 3 mths plus of maternity leave is just gone....just like that! It seems like yesterday that i was preggy..haiz..im gona miss Little T so SO much! Since givin birth to him, i have not left his side, not even for a day ( though it will start this weekend when B and i go out to celebrate his bdae)
How i wish i can find a job that let me wrk frm home and yet receive the same or even higher pay as what im getting nw.Hee..Being a stay at home mum is out of the question. First, B will have a heart attack...and i wun be able to indulge in my shopping sprees...and with the commitments, loans, etc...i guess sarcrifices have to be made.=(
So sad that i wun be around to see his daily changes, be the 1st to witness his 1st XXX, take countless photos/videos of him...*sobz* I will try my v v best to visit him daily after wrk, though this will tire me out and increase our petrol expenses..Just hope Little T will miss me just as i miss him....lots...

So hard to book a venue to celebrate B's bdae next Fri..ok, maybe im cheepo, wana book those places w promo, and its fully booked! But hey, havin a baby really shot up my expenses! The places i tried to book is Greenhouse at Ritz and The Line at Shang. 2 different locations, both 5 or even 6 star hotel and 2 diff sets of Service.
Greenhouse
The line was busy and i got transfered to the operator who politely told me that Greenhouse's line is engaged and she offered for them to call me back. She asked me whether its for the lunch promo (which made me feel cheepo nana for a sec, but its true. Ha!) i say it is and thats the end of the conversation.
Bragged to B how gd Ritz's services are as compared to other hotels as i always have meetings and corporate days there. Though it was abt 1 hr plus that they called back, they did! But sad to say, they are fully booked til 6th June and apologetically asked me wana book then, but B will not be on leave le. Can understand why its fully book. The place isnt that big and the promo is really gd! Book at least 5 days in advance and its 50% off the lunch (UP: $48)! And considering the no of ppl wrkin ard the area...its not surprising thats its booked.
Poor B, wun get to try there...but as for me, will be celebrating my fren's bdae there w my coll on the 26th June. Yummy!!

Called up and select the num to hear more abt the promo. Line was cut off after the automated message describing the promo ended. No options for me to trf to operator, nothing...Nm, called up again to select dining operator services. This was the conversation btw us.
Me: I would like to ask more abt the Flash the Age promo
Her: Oh, you have to call this no and select 2
Me: Ya, i did earlier on, but after hearing the automated message, the line got cut off
Her: It shdnt be, you have to call again, cos i do not know abt this promo.
Me: (in my head) this is the dining reservations hotline and you do not know abt this promo??
Me: Then do you know whether this promo is still on and the prices for the buffet?
Her: Yes, and she went on to tell me and further emphasised that she is not trained in this promo...
She shd ask me what i wana ask abt the promo instead of just curtly telling me that i need to call another dept! Can feel she's trying to end the call and tai chi me to the other dept...which i did..and if u tink the above was worse, the other operator was lagi jialat!
Me: Is the flash yr age promo still on?
Her: Yes, where and when do you want to book it?
Me: Next Friday at the line.
Her: Im afraid its fully allocated for the line
Me: Even for lunch and dinner?
Her: Im afriad so...
I can feel her sarcasm and her rolling of eyes thru the phone!
So pissed loh...and i dun believe its fully booked next fri for lunch and dinner...i tink they have a limit on the no of ppl who utilise this promo. Next fri isnt the eve of a public holday or a public holiday so to speak...haiz...so sian. Wanted to try the Line for ages...and i cant believe such a high class hotel like Shang have such rude, unprofessional and lousy operators!!

Brought Little T for his 1st jab yest...act its 2 jabs plus one oral vaccine(poor boy!)..Was very kan cheong over the whole thing, did not even dare to hold him while the nurse jabbed him. Passed him to B instead. He did not cry much during the 1st one, just pulled a sulky face, but after the 2nd one, he screamed his head off...but only for a while..brave thadthad...mummy so proud of him!
He was very drowsy after that and did not have much appetite, as foretold by the nurse. We also standby in case of any fever...which he developed this afternoon. It was a scary experience, feeling his hot body and seeing him in the 'semi conscious' state. My heart really ache! Fed him with panadol syrup, put cold towel on his forehead ( which he hates and scream when i do so) and hugged him when he cries...haiz..why must vaccines be in injection form?
Aniwae, gd news is that his temp went down already, but its still unstable, like the stock market. Guess have to monitor him some more..Pray that he will feel better by tomorrow..
Oh, did i mention that he weighs a hefty 5.2kg already!! half a bag of rice!
Oh, and not i want to brag, but Man Utd won the BPL last saturday evening, and thus Thad had a new song to learn that evening..it goes like this...

so many tots...
but all jumbled up in one big ball....where shd i start? Hmm...
Celebrated my 1st Mother's day yesterday..hee..not really much of a celebration though...act had planned some activities (duno why i do the planning hor...!!!!!) and to meet up with Jan and mic for lunch and svs...but.......Little T kept crying the weekend i brought back to my JT hse.duno whether its he's not used to the new environment or that there was heavy rain during the 2 nites that he was there.
Kept bragging to B that Little T can sleep thru the nite le...but during the weekends, he woke up crying at 4am! and once he wakes up for milk, he will be punctual for his next feeding time 4 hrs later..so can u imagine the amount of sleep we get? Mind u...its not just make milk and feed him..after that you have to burp him, change his diaper and soothe him to sleep...in our half asleep state of mind..So, the plans were cancelled( Sorry Jan and Mic! Really wanted to catch up with u gals!) and we ended up gg for 7pm svs instead..but its all worth it. After seeing him smile and playing with him b4 dropping him off at my mum's, the frusration of lack of sleep just slipped away frm my mind..
Anyway, being a mother really changed my whole life..

Nv have i tot that i will find joy in the below things:
- Seeing someone shit
- Hearing someone Burp
- Extracting a booger out of someone's nose. I heard some even use their own mouth to suck it out! You can never fanthom a Mother's love!
PS:The use of the phrase "Today is Mother's day. Wo zui da(Im the biggest)" was really gd to use yest. It shall be my trump card every year. Ha...
PPS: Little T slept at 1.30am and woke up at 9.30am this morn at SK hse. I had full 8hours of sleep! *Yippee* but i went on to sleep til 1pm. too damm tired!
PPPS: Man Utd is inches away in lifting up the BPL cup AGAIN after beating a lack lustre Man City in a derby match yest...

BB: Nm la, this washing machine quite exp one...dun make spoil.

fyi, his family is away for hol for a week...that explains why we started to do some hsewrk...HAHA...After washing the dishes, he's gg iron his clothes next...i offered to help, but he decline...with reasons that still puzzle me..
Me: I wash the dishes la..you go iron yr clothes..(hate ironing shirts and thus will not push to iron..but if he insists for me to iron, its his lost..haha)
